This is a less peaceful sunset, when compared to the last sunset of 2016 I saw at La Spezia

I decided against craziness that usually goes with New Year’s Eve parties in large cities. I went to La Spezia for cheap hostel and quiet harbor.

I was busy doing chores in the house and forgot that sunset after storm can be quite nice. I had to run outside of my community gates for this glimpse of today’s sunset with no time to spare.

I like this nostalgic diner’s exterior. It is even more lovely 20 minutes before sunset.

Differences of 30 minutes

The predicted time for sunset was about 16:24 in Venice on Dec 26, 2016. I happened to have images captured about 30 minutes apart from each other around this time.

Extra frames

I had a few frames left on the second roll of film from Greece that I wanted to use before turning in for processing.

I made one at a Saturday morning farmer’s market.

I still had 3 frames left when I made it to Carlsbad at about 16:30, which meant I had 20 minutes to find a subject. Thankfully I was next to the beach when the sun set with no cloud covering the horizon.
